Freelander 1 CYCLE RACK

Hope someone out there can help, has anyone got a spare wheel mounted cycle carrier on FL 1? if so what make is it, how does it fit any pics. Any info would be appreciated

I had an after market cycle rack on my old Freelander. It had a plate that fitted under the spare wheel. Attached to the plate was a square receiver that came through the wheel centre hole. The rack then slid into the square receiver on a quick release pin. It worked well and I don't think it was that expensive. I stupidly sold it with the car so I need to buy a new one for my latest Freelander.

Thanks for that, i've seen a Thule one that looks similar to what you had, but as all Thule stuff is not cheap.

i have one for sale. It fits over the wheel with straps and will carry three bikes. Dont know what make it is, but if its of interest let me know and i will send you some photos.

im in north dorset . have not got the ratchet straps, looking for £45. if you can collect.

Looks ok, but im in S.Wales so pick up is not possible. Sorry but thanks anyway.
