Hi, the tow hitch that I have on my disco 2 keeps hitting the ground and (while I stack up the funds to convert the rear coils back to air) I'm wondering if I can cut an inch or two off the bottom of the tow hitch plate.
It seems (based on my googling as I have no knowledge of this) to be an adjustable plate which I really don't need so happy to forego the bottom adjustment option.

So if I cut a horizontal line straight across above the lowest fixing holes will this cause any major issues?!

Yes, no problem. I wouldn't cut across any higher than a line from the bottom of each stay from the hitch to the chassis.

All done, took a bit of cutting and then grinding to get it smooth (and straighten it up a little!) but looks much better and no grounding so far!

Hmmm me likes, also like your drop down step holder
Honestly never felt the need to move the tow hitch to another bolt hole anyway.

Ah yes, you spotted that. Good old bungee, who needs a self returning hydraulic ram?! My 4yo daughter doesn't notice the difference when she steps on it!!
