Hi all just joined as coming to the end of a custom landrover s2a hybrid build that I’ve spent the best part of 3 years now spending best part of 3 years in total designing fabrication and building a custom one by off show car ! As I’ve gone to town on this with no exception accept making it be woo I e at a point where I’m going to get a bit stuck due to a lack of knowledge I’m looking for help from everyone and anyone could could help in this task I’ve looked highly and low for information but never really found anything loads of people have talked mentioned and started but never finished or just stopped posting information on that topic. My plain is to share all the information so anyone can do this but I would recommend not copying my style of manifold as it is a big out there for design and looked but this is more of a show car than a day to day runner and I’m happy to modify all area to make it work and look right. So I’ve got a Vnt turbo for my 300tdi with a custom made manifold
458735
458736 which goes to a Garrett 2256v vnt
458730 along with custom made down pipe and turbo support bracket to engine block
458731 with custom made oil feed and return pipes.
458732
All this is done the images below are of the pre build upto the point of the whole unit being outside of the engine ready to fit,
458733
but I’ve sent the manifold off to have the last bit of the flanges skimmed flat as I was out by 1.3 mm over the 3 flanges
458734

but I’m about to have manifold, turbo and downpipe ceramic coated so it look nice and fab within the engine bay and to reduce heat as buy have this style of manifold made certain thing get very close so having ceramic coating will aid in reducing head within the engine bay and overall.

458738 But my request for info is how and the best way of going about setting this up with the 300tdi and sorting out the boost to operate the vnt. Take a look at pictures and let’s start a good conversation to figur this out not just for me but for all other that want to do this for there landrover doing this yourself if you can and have the skill make this conversation not to expensive compared to turbo vnt for 200 and 300tdi

Till we chat all the best and thanks
