Ive just got a bare cubby box with lid. ive seen some P38's with 4 cup holders there instead, how do they fit? and where can i get one from?

They fit any P38 centre console. If you remove the rear ashtray assembly you can see the screws holding it in IIRC.

They seem to be a very sought after item though and reguarly go for stupid ammounts on eBay! Not only that, with cup holders in the vehicle you have the temptation to drink and eat in there which is just a bad idea I think :D

I've got one in mine. I should I sell it on ebay and make my fortune :)
I think they are more of a can holder than a cup holder. A can of pop is a nice fit.

I offer you the princely sum of £0.99p in part-ex with my current no-cup-holder lid for you cup holder lid so please can you send them over :D

I made mine from a sheet of black 'crackle' ABS works fine & it can be fitted & taken out in seconds.Or left in place permanently.

so the ones that is a 4 cup/can holder in the centre console means you can't store stuff underneath it unless you lift it out?

no, if you have the genuine one, you open the lid of the cubby box and then it sort of flips over and you then have the cup holders underneath, this still allows use of the central storage area.

modelmans version doesnt allow use of the central storage area without removing it first.

<looks around desk> ermmm, 2 twix bar wrappers, a venus fly trap thats dead because i poked it too many times with my pen so it never got to eat any flys, a 20 amp blade fuse, chewed pen which killed said fly trap and a pair of needle nose pliers...:cool::D;)

Problem with mine is the gas strut has packed up and have you seen the price of them on fleabay, its cheaper to but two rear hatch struts than one cubby box strut, and I am not kidding.
