Cup holder!

Haha, you can keep your Lego bumpered facelift model, I've now got pop up cup holders on my dash!

Not cheap, but genuine LR part, and brilliant service. Ordered on Tuesday afternoon, arrived this morning!

Tidy like! I like the carbon fibre wrap too, I was thining of doing that on mine after seeing it is Diesel Do's cab.

they are shockingly expensive for what the are, but tis a well engineered thing to be sure. My missus bought me one 'cos she knew I wouldn't spend the money on it meself.

That said, I do love a cup of tea in the van on me way to work on a cold winters morn, so tis perfec for holding one of them there insulated cup things. (be careful, thermos make an oversize one, which seems to fit until you get to a roundabout and find it to be not true - apparently, so someone told me, honest, wasn't me)

At £60 I think Mrs DD would prefer to sit and hold my drinks for me instead.

The positioning of the holder is really poor anyway and I tend not to use mine as anything you put in them doesn't fit properly, gets heated up by the sun through the screen and blocks the clock!

Carbon fibre was tricky, watched a YouTube video then stole the wife's hairdryer, but turned out ok in the end!
Only did this one bit, didn't want to go overboard!

I did that bit on mine. Couldn't get it to stay in the recess to the dials, looked great for a week then a really hot day and it popped out I trimmed it carefully around the holes in the end!

Me too! I took ages to get it shaped into the dials, and have since trimmed it back because it kept coming off, shame because it looked great!

you should not drink and drive but seriously you can get 3 points on you licences for having a drink whilst driving and not fully in control of you car I once saw a girl in dublin eating a piece of toast cup on the dash and putting makeup on all at the same time as driving WOW!talking about multi tasking or what

Apparently when the FL1 was in production you could buy them for £25!!!

I think it's the hens teeth rarity of these that's pushing the price up, it had obviously been lying in its box on a shelf since the nineties, I had to clean up the rubber shaped piece that joins it to the instrument binnacle when fitting it.

Took me ages to find a green FL with black interior, most were beige! Glad I waited till I found one though. It's so easy to keep it clean and still looks great even though it's almost 10 years old.

Typical!! All the cars I've seen have got the nasty doom and gloom coal face black interior and I want the beige!!

Oh, and why is it so dangerous to drive with a drink, yet smoking is fine?

I had beige before, or grey as they call it officially like, in my 50th anniversary Freelandy. I'm after a black 3 door TD4 auto now with grey/beige interior. Did they do the pre face lift model in Alpaca in alcantra/leather colour in the 3 door?

actually you can be done for smoking at the wheel what they book you for is drive without due consideration for other drivers

the wife saw some mugs although small in hieght sit onto of the holes as we thought they were rubbish as the handles point at one enother and you can not get the cup out what idiot thought of that
