Hey folks,

Had some issue with the cruise control not working but left it alone as I wasn't using it that much. Doing quite a bit more driving and missing the cruise control a lot.

I went through the electronic troubleshooting in RAVE and all seemed good apart from the wheel rotation test. Was getting a lower voltage from the pin (0.6v iirc where rave said it should be 5v) and no change on the reading with wheel rotation.
The yellow signal wire is good so RAVE says it's got to be the BECM.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience with this same issue or any suggestions on how to confirm it's the BECM.

BECM does not drive the cruise control it just switches it. Don't know a lot about petrol cruise but have a look at cruise control ECU and converter/inverter module under dash.

I had an issue and one of the hoses to the cruise control unit had split. Replaced this and everything was running lovely. Have you done a visual check of all the hoses?

They split really quick, even after replacement using fuel pipe. Consider it an annual check.

Cheers for the replies folks.
It worked originally, but on and off. So when it stopped working I assumed it was electrical rather than mechanical.
One of the hoses was well worn at the end so I trimmed it back, this was quite a while ago though.
The pipes all seem good now with no noticeable leaks, and the vacuum pump works fine off a 12v feed.
All the tests in RAVE for the switches, ecu and inverter passed apart from the test with wheel rotation.

I guess to rule it out I should replace the vac line from the brake pedal then! :)

Will measure the internal diameter and order up some silicon vac lines.
I can remember checking the connection to the brake pedal but the pipe seemed on there pretty tight and hard to get a good look at it, is it just a matter of pulling it off or is it clipped on?

Vac line replaced, still don't work!
Will go back to the RAVE troubleshooting and maybe see if I can pick up another ecu and inverter at some point.
