creaking when turning?

Hi all ive got another propb with the disco now lol, over the last couple of days when turning the steering wheel you can hear like somthing is very stiff to move and creak's But its inermitent, anyway today i was driving and i went round a sharp corner and as i was straightening it back i heard i realy loud creak and it was felt through the floor. Anyone have any ideas i could start with. Many thanks

First thing to check would be all steering roads, bushes and mounting points, then UJ's and CV joints .. So many other bits too, but they're a good start!

Hi there thanks ive had a good look today and carnt see anything wrong with any of it. Th ebest way to describe the noise is it sounds like a old creaky door opening lol

Check steering column. might need grease where it goes into the cab. Happened to a mate he put white grease in there from a spray can solved problem. Having a look at my van Saturday. as same has just stared happening to that. rough feeling with it. Good luck

Mine had this and i narrowed it down to the boot cover creaking haha only on hard tight corners wd40 on the spring sorted it out for me
