Creaking from Drivers side rear

Hi. The wifes 2002 station wagon has developed an annoying and very noticeable creaking from osr. I know there are a number of moving parts there but would there be anything that is a common cause. Seems more noticeable just as you a moving off.Thanks

Broken rear coil spring. Check the very top and bottom for a ragged end or a piece of coil lying in the seat. Could also be sticking handbrake cable. Is the brake drum on that side hot after a few miles? Next thing would be anti roll bar links.

Thats a bit concerning

Will be fitting a set of brake shoes on Saturday so will have a good look then
