hi

it’s down by the turbo and heard it’s a &#*#&@*@£@*£*# to replace

Is that on passenger side near rear of engine.

apologises should have said , yes down by the passenger side , I’ll see if I can find a pic to make life easier seeing it’s a sod to find parts on these engines, lol

has it come up in the DTC error codes, was it ur goodself the other day having injectors issues and wouldn’t start

Yep that was me.have ordered 2 new injectors but have been warned could be crankshaft position sensor as these won't show up on code readers all the time so I'm thinking of changing it just to be sure.

Thks as wasn’t sure :)

what fault codes have u got now and what error codes plse

did u replace the 2 x injectors after the engine wouldn’t restart , was that the start of it, I’ll have another read of ur other thread

Was using Delphi but not done another reading yet.im also waiting for injectors to arrive then will have ago.

thks, daft questions if I may plse, has the engine been running to do a cylinder balance offset injector test or did the diagnostics come up with a error codes for them plse

just read ur other post and see 2 x injectors have already been replaced so was assuming the engine had been running to use diagnostics

Thks, was just trying to get the history and then see if I may be able to help

Car was a non running project it came to me with 2 injectors taken out on drivers side so I'm not taking chances got 2 more coming this week and tank fuel pump not working too when I got car so have replaced the full tank .but I put the old injectors back in the other day and bled the fuel system.im getting fuel right up to fuel rail but car would not start.

thks, hope u don’t mind me asking so many questions , have also bookmarked a lot of links seeing I have the same engine

ah i see so will that then be 4 x injectors in all replaced, or will u be replacing all x6

With the ign on , what pressure did u get at the low pressure fuel shrieder plse

will try my best to help u all I can and know there are also some very knowledgeable members here

hope that helps

Hi @Bri74

Just copied ur link over so have all the info in one please

https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/l320-injector-voltage.358586/

trying to decipher all the info and wondering if we can sort of set a base line plse to establish where we are

so

1) what model of Delphi are u using plse, so I can look up what it does ref live data etc

2) see u replaced the in tank low pressure fuel pump, what pressure do u get at the fuel shrieder valve at the back of the engine

3) do u also have a multimeter, if so what is the current battery Voltage plse

many thks and that u don’t mind me asking , just so we can get a full history

ps, also wished to ask, assume the timing belts and oil pump cover have been done ,plus . the fuel pump belt ever been checked

Thanks for your help .not sure what model delph used as was a friends will ask. Was getting reading of o.5 to o.7 bar at valve.battery was brand new but now getting voltage of 12.9vtiming belt all ok oil cover ok not checked fuel pump belt was next on list after the 2 injectors I'll be fitting.but in my heart I think it's the hp pump as car wants to start but just won't kick in.

ok, thks mate

so that sounds ok at the shrieder valve of 0.5 Bar or 7.25 Psi , also assume with the ign on and gauge applied to the valve that the needle didn’t fluctuate and remand steady

will also double check ref the number of injectors replaced and if just adding x 4 can upset the system

as the engine hasn’t been running I wonder why they replaced some of the injectors , ref the cylinder balance offset injector test

would just hate to see u replace the HPFP as there not exactly cheap, indeed please ensure that rear fuel belt hasn’t broken

also assume the fuel filter was replaced previously , with a genuine or high quality one as a cheap filter has been reported of causing all sorts of issues

Have u got ur own multimeter or was that ur mates as well, of so and if I may say, always best to get ur own diagnostics , inc multimeter as with these modern vehicles is a must

really need diagnostics on that ref live data to ensure the relevant systems are working as u go through it step by step, otherwise ur be chasing ur tail along with costing u a fortune and still not getting anywhere

alas wish I could help more but Plse let us know how u get on

Hi abit of confusion. I'm only changing 2 out of the 6 injectors as they were out when I got car.have got my own multimeter which I tested battery and voltage to injectors. I've got high pressure fuel pump ordered but will check belt as well. Putting injectors in today and will let you know if anything happens

Hi pal sorry for the delay in getting back.had car at lr specialist he fitted new low pressure fuel pump and module getting great fuel pressure at fuel rail.but mechanic says will not start saying there is hardly any compression when tested and now saying worse case is another engine.i asked about cambelt but he said he's not checked so I'm going to have a look at that first and keep fingers crossed
