crankshaft sensor resistance?

hi everybody,
I've recently buy a new crankshaft sensor for my RR 4.0 V8 1995.
Initial resistance was 1300 ohms.After running a couple of minutes the resistance com to 1575 ohms and machine stop.
Doe's anybody have any idea what should I do?please help
