date on the tyres is 47/18, Goodyear’s have a 5 year guarantee on them so well in date. Fitted in May 19 by Quikfit

I wonder if they are fakes...they fake car parts why not tyres?? My cheap Chinese ling longs have cracks all over the tread, the toyo proxies, which have been on longer show zero cracks, but also don't have much tread left.

The ones i took off mine were so bad the tyre guy accused me of driving on it while flat. I'm not that stupid!!
Mind you, he also told me it was illegal to plug my own tyres and that i wasn't insured, only tyre garages are allowed to plug tyres

No. There are strict rules on what a tyre professional can and can't do, but you're allowed to repair a tyre yourself in order to get home and ideally get it checked and repaired properly if you don't know what you're doing

I've plugged car and bike tyres without a problem. They pass MOTs and are safe. In my opinion. I wouldn't ride my bike at high speed if i was worried

At the very worst, a tyre plug can come out, which would simply allow the tyre to loose pressure fairly quickly.
I've plugged tyres at the side of the road, with one of those cheap kits off Amazon. The tyres stayed fine until they needed replacement, which suggests to me that plugging them isn't an issue.

Plugging used to be standard years ago. If it was safe then, it's still safe now.

Although it seams intuitive to fit the best tyres to the front steer axle the opposite is actually correct. If only fitting two tyres always fit the new tyres to the rear axle as per Michelin videos:

Unless your a fully trained tyre fitter & have all the qualifications to prove him wrong
I have my own tyre machine no need for me to go near a garage if I do I go to my mates
place of work an they let me use all the gear.
