Brand new or demonstrator?
We got about 5k off the price buying a 5 month old demonstrator.......
Maybe they want £199 a month for the servicing or could the gs be a new but damage repaired.

The one he/we were talking about was on the showroom floor, it looked brand new to me, didn't look like a demonstrator. The servicing was £199, total for five years servicing.

Mmm interesting.
The thing is they would have shopped your car around to see what traders would offer....."so a trader would probably offer around 5k to 6k max + your 8 k means they are getting 14k so them dropping 12k seems a bit off unless they are struggling to meet targets...but at that they would be making a loss............I'd sell the wife's car and the wife to snap thier hands off.
FFs you could buy it and then sell it straight on for a healthy profit.........the salesman didn't have a crack pipe sticking out of his pocket by any chance?

I've already thought of that but the wife's car is a good one lol. I don't know how they can do it myself but that's what I was told. I know I'm getting on a bit but I wasn't having a senior moment honest lol. He told me a guy brought his FL1 in for a service the other day he offered him the same deal and the guy drove home in a brand new FL2.

As I was leaving there was a car transporter parked outside off loading a load of FL2's.

Was the salesman albanian?
Go on where's the dealer id go for that deal.......got the cash and can't stand the wife!

£199 for 5 years servicing sounds like madness especially considering main dealer prices for servicing.
I have a theory that they want your car plus the £8000 deposit and then £199 a month for 60 months which would probably add up to around the retail price of the FL2 they wanted to rope you into buying.

Nope, £199 total for 5 years servicing no more.

Just been on thier site.
If you look at the freelander section under freelander gs app.
This looks like the deal they offered you although they want a final payment of £10k in 2 years time or hand the car back or part ex it against another new one.

I think your right, although there was no mention of the options as on the web site. Perhaps if I was more interested he would have told me the options. But still a good deal I think.
