So been loving my 2005 1.8 freelander, but got a couple of issues, first, when warm it judders pulling way in first or reverse, been spraying wd40 on the clutch arm but makes little difference. Second the other day after driving back from southend, went out in morning and expansion tank was empty and warning light on. topped up, no sign of leak. couple days later, went to stevenage and opened up and it was over flowing!!!!! let some out, now leaking from the bled screw on the hose!!! Lastly, notice grease has come out of inner cv gaitor nearside, guessing the new clutch put in a month or so disturbed it, easy enough to replace though?

If you have judder after a replacement clutch has been fitted? Then it sounds like the box spline and or the box nose where the release bearing slides wasn't cleaned and lubricated correctly. If those things are neglected, the the clutch will judder. The CV has been pulled at the same time the clutch was done, braking the boot seal or boot itself. Cooling system could be the HG is on its way out. Or it could be that the system hasn't been bled correctly.

so best off going back and speaking with garage that fitted the clutch then. head gasket was pressure tested just recent, all good so not sure it's that. could be not bled right, had fluid loss but wonder if it was linked to waterpump from euro car parts i fitted when i got it after doing cam belt?
