Can anyone recommend places to get brake pads cheap online?

I need a track rod end for the passenger side front wheel - Presume that it would just be a r/h thread one that I need?

I also have some rust underneath - surprise surprise - which I could do with advising on..

Firstly there's a section under the rear bumper above the exhaust thats a bit rotten.

Have a few bits near to body mounts too - one rear arch at the bottom near to the body mount has a hole about the size of a 50p coin and a couple of little bits around (or just above) two other body mounts.

I know it's likely the bits near the body mounts could fail an MOT but would the bit under the bumper?

I presume it's a common thing for them to rust (obviously all over) but in the bits I've mentioned so presume people know what I mean.

Break it to me gently if its going to be expensive :(

Right then, my g00glin skillz tell me that the nearside track rod is a left hand thread so that's that one out the way.

Now - for a 96 300tdi, do I need the brake pads with or without the wiring? Suppose I could go out and look but then it's raining and I haven't looked at the car for 3 weeks, we aren't friends at the minute :hysterically_laughi

The bit I mentioned about rust under /behind the back bumper - presume that's the rear crossmember?
:confused2:

Int tha wot I sed bout 5minutes b4 ya??

1, cheap brake pads are not cost effective buy decent pads and they will last longer and brake better is your life worth less than the cost difference between the god ones and the cheap ones?

2, buy a pair of track rod ends and put on the one that fits.... then when the other side goes you will have one ready to fit

3, any rust holes within a 12" sphere of a body mount or a seatbelt mount is a fail

S'ok was just thinking about repairing to pass MOT and flog it. Hence the cheapness.

Managed to drag the memory of fitting the drivers side track rod last year from my drunken blur of a memory. Pretty damn sure I can remember sitting screwing it in r/h thread.

The rust is a bugger, thought I might get away with it this year after having some done last year and things not looking too bad. Sills still look in decent nick at least anyhow.

Looks like it may be going up as a spares or repair ad then.
