Thanks bro ...was just about to do my head ,when a mechanic from shop round back of me walks past and we got.chatting and he says with my symptoms it was a sensor...I assumed it was a overheat sensor....would a ecy sensor cause excess water expelled from expansion tank....??I assumed it was pressure pushing it out ...

No sensor would cause water to be expelled from header tank. You either have an air lock or a cooling problem which could have a few causes. Duff thermostat, duff water pump, duff viscous fan, radiator baffle, air lock, blocked rad, blocked airflow through rad or aircon rad, cracked head, Etc Etc Etc. Give full details of when and how this is happening. Don't talk to him again he is a cock. :D:D:D
