Coolant lost/ No pressure

Guys,
Same old with this problem I've done some internet and it's giving me problems I've already sorted.

The head had warped on my 300tdi so looked around priced it up and it was feasible to do so I had it skimmed and pressure tested all that was fine so I bought a gasket set from jgs4x4 it needed a 3 notch so it got it. After stripping the motor down I found it needed a new radiator while I was at it as the other was rotten as a pear oh and a new timing belt.

Long story short... It was removed and refitted according to the workshop overall manual, torqued correctly and so on. So once the job was completed I bled the coolant system through with the engine at running temp and the heating on the window screen full blast. It bled through nicely and the heating was red hot, there was no air in the system and to squeeze the top rad hose etc it had pressure in it.

The only thing I didn't do with being on nights was check it daily for lost of coolant come Friday when I had a minute and before I hooked up to a trailer I checked it and it was low so topped it up below the rib on the header tank, checked it again this morning after a night shift and it's low again and when squeezing the pipes there soft as **** basically there's no pressure in the system.

What problem have I got?? I cannot see any leaks etc or is it just still settling after a major job??

Oh and if anyone's local to Thurcroft with a pressure tester I'll pay to use it

Personally when I refill the system I just remove both plugs from the rad and thermostat housing and fill it through the expansion tank until coolant comes through the holes, replace the plugs and top up to the seam as you've done and then check it after a couple of days. I've never done it with the engine running and the heater position makes no difference and have never had an air block using this method

The only issues I had with mine was air after changing the radiator and heater matrix.
I was loosing fluid from the cap but a new cap cured this.
I did the same as you, I bled out the vents till coolant came out and filled through the expansion bottle. I then ran it till hot with the heater on full. Topped up and then opened the bleed points a few days later and topped up.
Had to top a few times before it settled.

Maybe it's still settling then, I'll top up and bleed again till it stops using coolant if it ever will do lol.

Just managed a little look I never noticed any leaks so today I've pressurised the system up and it turns out the jubile clips have loosened some how. I just think they've been on a off that many times they've given in so it's got some new ones on so far so good *touches wood* but I'll keep a daily eye on it now I'm off on the sick lmao
