Im gutted i was planning on going down but had my holidays refused by work :(

Was planning to come down from aberdeen so i suppose it would of been a long way to go in a landy! At least nothing will break on the journey if i dont go!

Have fun should be an impressive turn out!

definetly going, white defender 110 club with no name on side call for a beer ,cup of tea whatever or just a chat, last year w as good this year should be better

Hi, just wondering if anyone will be taking part in Convoy4Heroes this year, or if anyone did it last year and has anything to share about it?

I think I'll be going this year, now I finally own a LR :)

Plus, it's all going to an awesome cause.

Did it last year, it was fun and great to see so many other Landies.

Wont be going this year though as had hoped to go with Landrover club but were told the club would have to pay as well as the members??? which seemed a bit much and indeed odd after all if we had all gone independantly the club would not be charged..... still trying to figure that one out :(

Also 7 Defenders  with 15 adults and two children will come over from Belgium to the Convoy 4 Heroes.

So come on you guys.

Come over to Prestwold Hall, Leicestershire LE12 5SQ

I shall be travelling down from Manchester to be at Prestwold Hall on the easter Sunday. My folks live in a nearby village, so instead of turning up in my silver RRC or the wifes red RRC, naturally I've registered the bobtail with its simex tread tyres to attend!! (the one in the avatar)... which should be fun on the motorway.

Looking forward to the day out.

Anyone using CB? What channels?

Hi guys,

Please help me get some information.

As said before, we have booked Convoy4Heroes for 7 Freelanders and 7 defenders to visit from Belgium and The Netherlands.

Now I read that there maybe will be a strike regarding fuel in the UK.

Can anyone inform me about this? In a serious note please:eek::eek:

No strike has been confirmed,or date for a possible strike if it does happen. However, UK media is currently doing it's best to whip up a frenzy of public hysteria.
Typical news reports state "possible" easter bank holiday weekend "could" be a time where the unions "might" declare a time for a strike... However, no official information has been made to the public yet...

It would be nice if someone from the Convoy4Heroes team would post something on here about a contigency plan, a different date, and/or just cancellation info "IF" the worst happens and no one can actually make it to Prestwold Hall, save for those within pushing distance........especially as, at this time today the Convoy4Heroes website isnt working!:eek::eek:

Thanks Joe.

I just posted also on the C4H forum for info.

I will keep an eye on the threads you mentioned.

A few years back I was "captured" in France when they had a strike about fuel. Don't want to get trapped again. It is a long walk back to Eijsden The Netherlands.;)

Yeah...and I asked the question regarding contingency plans etc on their facebook page too.
Ironically, I've just finished fixing my late Brooklands RRC with LPG the other day, should've used that (LPG isn't a problem at the mo)...but I've booked the offroader in the convoy that runs on straight petrol!!
