Converting a P38 from Auto to Manual

Hi, I know this maybe stupid and tell me if it is. How easy would this be, eg can all engines take the Manual box? If NO which ones should i go for (4.0se) What problems with electric and ECU would i have or is this straight forward. I have the chance to get the bits off a Manual car, i know most of the bits i need, but what other bits do i need, has one done this. Colin

Hi, No not yet, but have the chance for these Manual parts, so i thought i could look for an Auto to convert. This is MAD yer!!!! Colin

*IF* you have ALL the bits to get off a manual car then I suppose it could be done. The Police had manual P38's. It would mean alot of work though, alot of bits would have to be swapped. Can I just ask, why would you want a manual unless you were using the Range Rover as a workhorse??
