I purchased a series 3 diesel landy 1978 six months ago, and now, as is my hobby, want to swap to another classic. I purchased this as it was and is in excellent condition. The last owner considered it to be more than just a car, and for over 21 years ensure it was kept in perfect condition. It has a galvanised chassis, no welding, dents or holes anywhere and essentialy no rust. Its engine was overhauled fully 2 years ago (new crank, rebore, etc) at the same time a reconditioned 2a gearbox was put in. It doesn't need anything and has no known faults - a joy to own and drive. 6 months tax and mot. 12 months mot if you pay full whack.

Only weak spot is paint - well it is an old car!

Rear seats have been converted to forward facing three seats with belts and roll cage - so no reason to not have one 'cos of the kids now!

Why do people always have to be so rude?

My nickname comes from the fact that my main classic is called Arthur, and it is my Daily...

As for the price, which is clearly stated, all prices start high - and work their way down :)

I know what these cars regulalry go for - I also know that almost every car I went to see had dents, bumps, rusty bits on doors, un overhauled engines that sounded like a bag of spanners and patched chassis. PLUS no Landy I saw had seats in the back where you could legally put children, ie they were side facing.

So, all in all, not a 'giraffe' but a realistic starting point to argue?

17 posts and no pictures- that and the price from someone who has so few posts
