Hi.

I have a Discovery. Turbo Deisel that keeps on blowing the fuse for the heater plugs, injector pump fuel switch. I'll put a new fuse in under the dashboard, but as soon as it turns over and fires to start, the fuse pops.
It's beginning to get my back up now. I'm usually good at fixing any problems, but this is really starting to do my head in. I can't work it out.
Can any-one out there help me with this tricky little number. I need it for work and I can't afford to take to much time off. It's hard enough trying to keep a job in these difficult times, without me taking time off because I can't get in.
Help me, please!!!

Adam:(

If the fuse keeps blowing, I would check the circuit along the line....

you might have a bad earth somewhere or a corroded wire..

Hi all.

Thanks so much for the replies, however, I have since found the cause for the fuses to pop. It turns out that one of the relays behind the glove-box had a fault in. It was one of the yellow ones that clicks on as soon as you switch the ignition on. As there are about six in there that are the same, I swapped it for another one and then tried to start it. Bob's your uncle, it started lovely.
I went to Peter Scott Land Rover specialist near where I live and picked a new one up for £8.50 including VAT.
Doesn't it seem so frustrating when it takes nearly 2 days to find the fault and then to find out that someting as silly as a relay was all that was wrong.
I had people telling me it was the ECU and they were saying it as gosspil as it gets. I knew that this wasn't the case as it was trying to start before the fuse pops. I took a good long look in the haynes manual and came to the conclution that a relay was to fault. But, the problem being that I didn't know where to find any such relays. What a nightmare.
I feel very chuffed that it was a very cheap fix in the end.

Thanks to all you great people out there that tried t help. Maybe this thread will help somebody else out.:praise::5bparty:
