Hey All,

Anybody got any suggestions on a box or container for the back of my series 2a?

I want somewhere to put my jacks, some ropes, and tools. Ideally with a partition for a jumper/coat and my boots.

I was thinking of an old military shell crate or something similar. Something that could fit the gap between the benches, keeping in mind the slant of the seatbox and the protruding metal loops.

Of course i could use the underseat trays but they're not big enough and are a pain in the arse to get into. Currently i'm hanging an old czech rucksack to keep everything in but every little bump sends it flying.

Any recommendation would be pretty sweet.

Cheers all.

Hi TR,

On my fender, so not sure if it will fit your 2A, but I use a LAYCORN box. Get them from the bay.

Cheers
Oh man, that's almost perfect. Only downside I can see is the angled seatbox meaning it's probably impossible to have it upright. That's exactly what i'm after in terms of storage and partitions though. Thanks.

EDIT

ignore the upright part. I saw a picture that was two stacked.

Looks good, i'll research dimensions. cheers!

I have to believe the way it fits almost perfect btw the wheelarches that it was designed for the fender.

Mine are laid on their backs so the lids are on top. Plus I do not have a seat bulkhead fitted.

Cheers

I was thinking about these for the back of my tratter....

They aren’t compartmentalised but multiple stackable units containing different stuff, strapped down is what I was thinking.....
I do like the laycorn boxes but they look a little restrictive if you wanted to put big things in......
Never seen one in the flesh though so could be completely wrong!!
