Had a good day today. Started with removing the synthetic sleeve that is fitted around the air filter as it was filthy, and its made a difference to performance, not much but a little, more responsive under foot. Hopefully it will improve fuel economy but too soon to tell at the moment.
I also tightened the handbrake cable as I read that it had to be between 4-7 'clicks' to be fully applied (mine was fully applied at 10) made hell of a difference.
Replaced the factory fitted liner under the door card on the tailgate door with a strong clear recycle bin bag and gaffa tape, as the other was in a bad way.
Then off I went, bit off laning, (very muddy), bit of wading (a little over a foot deep) whilst smoking like a trooper and drinking coffee like its going out of fashion.
Finally gave the hippo a good old wash down, making a point to pressure wash the rear door/window seal to test for leaks..... And all good.
All in all a good day, if only every day was the same eh?
Mike.
