Datatek,
Please could you tell me what O rings you mean, I'm sure you have worked out by now that I'm a bit of a simpleton so in laymans terms would be great.

Thanks

He refers to the O'rings that seal the pipes going into the heater matrix. Behind trim panel to left of drivers foot well. Check if drivers carpet is wet.

No but it can be an awkward job. Lots of info on it if you look around.

Thanks for that, I found this http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/heater-matrix-o-rings-eeek-111606.html which will be spot on for me, this is why this site is so good there is just so many helpful people here willing to help others, just like yourself:D

What does it taste like? Sweet antifreeze (O rings), no taste A/C drains, wet feet, pollen filter housing or leaking roof, acidic probably that cat you dropped the mirror on :D:D

Ahh that may give me a good clue (good thinking that man), knowing my luck it's bound to be acidic... but please don't take it personally tomcat, it was an accident! Honest

If the O rings are really bad, it will not help your overheat problem as system pressure will be lost.

Well, as you know I take all your advice very seriously, so today I have gone and bought the O rings, a thermostat + O ring, a water pump AND the very reason this all come about that poxy sensor... So that's my weekend gone!! sad thing is there is so much more I want to be doing with it, rather than spending time and money of these problems :(

But being more positive I'd like to thank all of you for your help, it is people like you what makes this site great!!
