Good morning LZ,

I fancy a nice neat way of connecting my iphone to my head unit, i want to wire it in to the back of the head unit, and run the cable down the centre console and up into the cubby box. Is it possible to do this without having to plug a usb/ aux into the front and fold it back behind? Or is there a wiring system i can use to plug into behind so no wires can be seen?

Thanks for any advice!

woops my bad, a discovery 2 2001, actually not sure on the headunit? but i want it to charge my phone aswell so bluetooth is a no go, anyone done this? or is it best to usb/aux it and just route it behind some trim?

hmm, i got an aftermarket wireless in my disco.
it plays cassettes,
it has medium wave, long wave, and frequency modulated waves i suppose.
its also got a fly lead with a mini jack power socket with 3.5volts on it (i think)
you need a steady hand on the move to turn the tuning dial as you can miss all the really fab pop stations, its a bummer i know.
i also think its a face of but i dont know how to undo the metal clips that hold it all together.
i like radio 4 best as you get all that symphonic music that makes the discos noisey gearbox go away.
for hot summer days when the gearbox makes really loud noises, i just pop in a handy cassette i previously recorded with the 1812 overture,
its nice,

do you think so.

Jolly good, pip pip.

Have a look at the Parrot range of head units if you are considering changing? They like some of the other brands have rear mounted usb/iphone connectors. Also the Parrot's have/had an internal storage to pop your phone while being charged/used for music etc.
