Hi folks

I would be interested to see how other folk got on with condenser supply to fix the ever troublesome Air Con. Following the great advice on the forum I tried to pick a condenser up from a supplier who unfortunately had no stock. They did though plainly state they shipped with seals, fluid and even instructions.

I then went for a more expensive condenser which arrived with no seals which I found out in the middle of trying to fit the thing

Having got it fitted and all working the supplier then looks for feedback which I set as neutral mentioning the seals and I get this back :-

Dear tonymccandless,

hi does it say in the advert you get new seals and fuild if it did you would have got some next time read the advert and you might get it right

Guess I won't be using them again for anything but has anybody else found these things shipped without seals? It obviously is my fault for not asking but hardly a great response from the supplier I would say.

Don't think you have much of a gripe. After all if you bought condoms on eBay how many would expect a virginal blonde to arrive to use them on.
The bloke supplied what he said he would or did you expect him to come a fit it for you. If the other supplier was giving you seals (ok a few pence) and fluid (a considerable cost) what was the quality of his condensor like if the deal was cheaper? Hardly a great response from you either considering seals were not mentined in the sales write up.

Guess everybody is entitled to their opinion my but if you re-read I do actually accept I could have asked and your somewhat extreme response is going a bit over the score.

As you state the seals may be a few pence but I, wrongly as it turned out, had assumed based on what the previous supplier was providing that at least the seals would be there. It was a complete pain in the a&&& having to stop the fitting and head off to the dealer to try get seals.

I actually checked with 3 other suppliers btw who ship the condensers with seals and they seem to think in fact it would be stupid to do otherwise.

At the end of the day the response wasn't merited and it folk ask for feedback then they should accept it.

So he sent you the item as he described, you didn't ask before purchase and then gave neutral feedback-your a ****ing whining bitchy arsed cock

I think you were out of order givig him neutral feedback, you ordered a specific part, he supplied it , what's your problem? If you wanted it to come with seals etc you should've ordered them:doh:.

Jesus f Christ folks, get a grip. I asked a question and in fact the feedback was neutral not negative.

I have now said twice I didnt think thru asking for the seals as I had assumed they would come with it which given I have also spoken to other suppliers who in fact just supply then by default seemed like a fair assumption.

So Fanatic for this wonderfully direct feedback "your a ****ing whining bitchy arsed cock" many thanks but in a world where people can agree to disagree I'm going to disagree with your assessment.

I don't think I'll loose any sleep over it, I think it was quite an accurate assessment :D

I'm shocked and disappointed at the language used against this gentleman.

It should be ...

''you're a ****ing whining bitchy arsed cock''....not
''your a ****ing whining bitchy arsed cock''

Snigger grammar and elocution lessons on LZ:eek:

You are correct though in the grammar situation, but it may be a little high brow for the knuckle dragging lot .

I wouldn't expect you to but then again I don't presume to make judgement on you based on your aggressive tone or way in which you put your point forward.

As I said a free world where folk are free to disagee. Sleep tight.

Stick around your find this is playful banter, I take it you haven't been round long at LZ to experience a PROPER SESSION:D

If you think about it logically it was you who made the wrong assumption. The bloke supplied what had been ordered from his description of the goods. Leaving neutral feedback when it was you who made the error is not on. You dropped the bollock not him. I agree that it would not hurt to have included a couple of O rings. Personally i would have made sure i had them before stripping the motor down. Obviously you have never been a boy scout.:):):)

Ok, so in response to overwhelming opinion I AGREE THAT I SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR THE F SEALS !!!!

I have now sent a mail back to the guys saying so...... now would anybody care to answer the original f question ?

Your best bet would be to apologise to the seller and ask ebay to change feedback to as described and positive feedback

Fanatic

I have been on here since buying the rent-a-wreck and been through almost every thread trying to fix every thing that can and did go wrong. So far EAS, cruise control, UJ for front prop, LPG system and now the air-con.

I probably would have been cheaper just buying the f bits and rebuilding the thing from scratch.

Next challenge is trying to get the bloody bulbs for the speedo etc as I can't see any readouts..... But for some reason the dammed thing is still in the garage and I love it.

There must be some treatment you can get for P38 addiction....
