can i pick ur brains please

my compressor has come up with faults, as i suspected as its noisy ,

comes up overheat and shuts down

think it's just the exhaust valve blocked,

got the rebuild kit and a new bracket as the old one has a broken corner

see it's got anti vibration bushes but thinking of also putting some rubber washers between the chassis and bracket

something similar but fitted so many shower pumps and always mounted them on rubber to cut the noise down

wondering what u thought please, about installing these rubber washer to try andreduce the ouse of the compressor as much as possible

will wire brush the chassis when the old bracket it removed and paint some hammerite on the chassis and also paint the bracket

thks guys as always

Okay but the bracket won't be rubber mounted, you're using bolts... therefore any noise, if the is any, will be transferred via the bolts. If there is "noise" and can be heard within the vehicle there's a problem.

ah i see , well tonight it has decided to throw a strop

got all the rebuild kit , so now forced to do it now

starting to strip it all down , come up with fault that the exhaust valve is blocked , abusing the unit to overheat

then it shut down all my suspension , lol

never mind , will spend the week doing it, its on the drive so no probs
