compression ratio of 3.9L v8 1994 Disco US model ?

The subject line prety much spells it out. I'm having a discussion with
a buddy about the need for premium gas in this beast. And CR is a
factor.Anybody know the answer?

Don't know about '94 but my '97 has a knock sensor. If you drive
conservatively I believe regular gas can be used safely.
No lugging the motor up hills in too high a gear and no full throttle, high
rpm work. If it starts knocking the sensor retards the ignition to try to
eliminate this. It can only go so far though and it is still possible to
get knocking if the engine is lugged. You will hear it.

CR data should be printed just above engine number on engine block.
