My P38 has a colour coded grill but I've been thinking about painting the grey trim under the headlights (that has the wiper arms for the lights). Has anyone done this and if so can you post a pic? Interested to see how it looks.

There are a few vehicles in the gallery that have it done. Looks better to have the under light trim he same colour as the grill. Otherwise it looks like you ran out of paint.

I've done mine...in epsom green to match the rest of the car / grille. You can see it on my profile pic.
I painted them while still fitted - took the wiper arms off & just masked around them.

Looks good, I'm going to do mine over the bank holiday :)

Is that little strip grey out of the factory? I'm thinking of painting my grille/bumpers/little bits under the lights black but couldn't work out if they were grey originally or just faded.

I think they are all black plastic from the factory but with a fair few years of sun bleaching they turn grey. Usual approach is to paint them black or colour match to your bodywork. I also did my door handles black as they were starting to fade a little.

The grill, headlight trim and door handles should've been dary grey/black out of the factory. But LR cheaped out on the plastics so they go very pale from sun bleaching.

A RR press photo.

Cool tip on the pound shop paint. Will have to give it a butchers. Back to Black didn't wok on my gill, just made it look oily.

You know what I love about the press photos? Even in them the light wipers aren't level.

you can paint them or if you anygood with a heat gun you can revive the original colour, good for bumpers door handles etc. just dont melt them lol. Also if you paint the plastic you need to plastic prime the parts otherewise the paint will start to flake
