New to this site,
Q: TD5 Disco, air suspension keeps collapsing, seems random. Has new bags, new height sensors, new compressor.....still randomly dumping all air. Will occasionally pump up again with a reset. Yellow suspension light kindly ignites to let you know you are about to go into bricks for springs mode!!!!
Collapse is instant and both sides drop at same fast rate but happens at any time, driving, stationary, when parked and switched off, almost like a valve is releasing.
Only other odd symptom is when stationary on level ground, bags seem to overinflate and then release air to level on a cycle, you can see rear of vehicle going up and down. There are definitely no leaks in the new bags, pipework or compressor. This seems to be a definite instruction from some sensor or management computer.
any help/advice appreciated. My local garage have had Disco for a fortnight now and still don't know what is wrong.

check the height sensors again you might have a dodgy one reading wrong worth a try

Thanks for your thoughts, I'll give it a bash. Would one dodgy height sensor dump both bags?????

When the new height sensors fitted was the batt disconnected ? Cuz if they were fitted to the car live . It will need calibrating again . It might just be all out of wack !

Good one....when we originally picked up the Disco after all the new parts were fitted, I mentioned that it was sitting higher than before, I'll mention it to them again, thank you..My gut feeling though, still tells me that because of the speed of the deflation of the bags, this is an electrical instruction not a mechanical failure but I will of course take your advice and get the sensors re-calibrated, hopefully that will correct any misreading.

Sorted ..broken wire (running on top R/H chassis). Wire was from R/H height sensor, hence the computer fault for same..wire wasn't completely separated, causing intermittent problems and setting off dashboard warning light. Thanks for all your help people...

Excellent news Vineman and thanks to you for letting the forum know the cause of your issue - it may help someone in the future.
