hi all

just done the head gasket, skimmed valves re-seated etc.
all is good on that score but I've now got a problem when starting from cold?

it runs like a bag of nails and pumps out a load of white smoke out the exhaust? its had a new fuel filter and full service whilst the head was off.

once its going and travelled about a mile she's fines and runs perfectly well, if you then stop and start her again its fine as if there was no issue?

so its only happening when she's been stood for more than a couple of hours?

was wondering if I've not quite got something back correctly or damaged glow plugs or injectors?

any ideas from you guys is always the best place to start.

many thanks

not checked em mate, how do you check em??

Best way is to take them out and short across battery with jump lead-need to glow cherry red at TIP within seconds-oily ones are shagged .Ones glowing in middle and not tip are past their best.
Even if you buy new-check they actually work before installing.
Don't burn your hands doing this ;)
