hi, does the 300tdi engine have any sort of cold start on the pump or does the engine just rely on its glow plugs? when cold my disco ticksover at 500 revs until warm and then ticks over at 750rpm. it doesnt matter whether the glow plugs are used or not it still starts fine but has this tickover issue. the disco is a 94 manual with no egr fitted.
