Just read this in the local rag and thought all would like to know that at least some are getting nabbed....................
A man has been charged with several driving offences after allegedly taking a Land Rover from Belper and being pursued by police.
The 25 year old from Rotherham has been charged with dangerous driving,driving without insurance,driving while disqualified and aggravated vehicle theft.
Officers saw a Land Rover in Main Road,Stretton,Alfreton around 12.25am on Thursday,22nd December and tried to pull the driver over.
But he drove off through Teversal and Pleasley before stopping in a car park on Mill Street,Clowne.
A police helicopter was also deployed to follow the vehicle.Officers discovered the Land Rover had been taken from a house on Spencer Road,Belper.
