Coin and Ashtray mechanism

Hi all,

are the coin and ashtray's an easy fix when they stop automatically working?

I've only just picked my Disco2 up and during the test ride both trays worked fine, gentle push in and they released easily on their springs.

After a trip to the garages valeting service I collected the truck and did not notice until the next day both trays wedged really hard in, afer freeing them neither will open on springs at all.

I'll phone garage to complain but just want to know whats involved in the fix.

Have the springs broken off I wonder and are lying behind the dashboard?

Have you tried taking them out and putting them in properly ?

both springs not present so both must have snapped or been pushed back into dash.

Its an easy job to replace them as they are in all discos. Even if its the base and not the drawers its only 6 screws to swap it over.

Do you have any with a broken coin holder or ashtray?

I just want the spring from one and the black stay. I can't find any online. Circled in attached picture.

I've managed to find one in the car but not the other.

I know it's along shot
