I can't be talking about prices and discounts and sales on here. It is against the rules of advertising which are very clear. If someone asks a specific question about pscan or says something that isn't quite correct then I will point out the truth but that's as far as I can go.
Will pscan work using a tablet

I bought a cheapo Chinese tablet a few years back in HK which works fine and seems better suited for using it on cars. Overall, the GUI is probably better suited to a laptop and mouse, but works fine with a touch screen.

Andy, dropped you a PM a short while ago :)

Was that a Windows tablet or Android?

What app do you use on the tablet (if its not pscan supplied)?

It runs both, but I use it as a Windows device. For what it cost me, it is surprisingly good and does the job I wanted it to do :)

It's a few years old now - which means the same money will likely buy you something far better. But I guess you could probably run a Rasberry Pi if you wanted to. :)

Multimeter should be fine - although I found on my car that the Yaw/ G-sensor had failed, which would be very difficult to discover without diagnostics - but wheel sensor failure is the commonest problem (it can be intermittent) so hopefully the multimeter will identify the problem :)

Think I'll just use old method for abs good old multimeter
That presumably will tell you if the sensors are OK - won't tell you about other components in the system though. As I say, the 3 amigos have visited by car a few times, and its never been because of a sensor fault. In fact when I was talking to the chap at the indi Land Rover parts place I got to, he recons he never has to supply sensors. That may be because, as Rob says, there's no salt on our roads so the sensors/hubs/rings don't rust out.

I hear people say 3 amigos I only have 2 lol hill descent and abs

The Wabco-D is I think shared with Defender and Discovery 2 - and TC is definitely a feature.

IIRC, the most basic pre-2000 FL1s didn't have HDC at all, and I guess those will be the models without TC. Luckily yours does. Which makes the lack of the third amigo (TC) in your car's case all the more confusing?

If it has ABS then it also has TC & HDC.

When you turn the ignition on the ABS, TC & HDC lamps should light up, the TC & HDC lamps should then go out after a second or 2 and the ABS light goes out once you start moving ang get over (about) 5 mph.

As I say, Rave does not describe a scenario where the ABS and HDC lamps are lit but not the TC. So if the lamps are working, you must have a pretty obscure problem.

One time when I got stuck on a gravel river bed bank, wheels spinning, after I got pulled off, I got the 3 Amigos. After a short while it changed to just 2 Amigos (but I forget which 2) and then they went out as well. I presume something got overheated or damps was sucked in as stuff cooled down.

I think rave just covers the favored likely fail lamp options and indicates what they mean if illuminated.
