Hi.
I’m new to freelander so take it easy please.
I brought a 02reg freelander commercial 2 weeks ago. Really like driving it.
The clutch was slipping a bit in the high gears so I had a new clutch and slave cylinder fitted on Thursday. It’s done 77 miles since, jumped in it last night to go away and when I went to press the clutch down it was really stiff and could hardly move it, checked under the bonnet and it looked like there was clutch fluid on the passenger side of the engine, I ended up going in my Astra and there’s loads of farm tracks here.
Any ideas? I’m going to phone the garage where i had it fitted on Wednesday and would appreciate having a rough idea before I phone them.
Thanks
Paul

I'm assuming it's a TD4 as the slave is separate from master, so can be changed on its own.
The OP needs to get the car back to where the clutch was done.

Have a quick check of the quick-release coupling near where the clutch pipe enters the gearbox. It’s probably come loose, and has a check valve.

EDIT: I mean it’s like the Hozelock fittings that shut off when you separate them. Not sure of the name.
