Today i ahve noticed my clutch pedal behaving oddly. Its been wierd for a few days but today its gone ga ga

It still has all its travel, but does nothing until the very last half inch of travel. Gear changes are reasonably ok, but could be better. Earlier on in the day it was spongy and wasnt doing anythign until the last inch n half.

Its possible its the cluch cable isnt it? Where is the adjustment under tha bonnet, cos ive had a quick sqizz and cant even see it - doh!

help i need my landie this weekend

Hello Wavey!
the clutch on yours should be hydraulic, no cable, So at best it could just need bleeding,
at worst it could be the clutch actuator arm (or clutch), LR changed them about 93 to a pressed steel type, these tend to fail at the pivot, (they bend then just shag up alltogether)
Try givin it a bleed first fingers crossed, if not its "box "out job So you may aswell put a new clutch in while its out, if it hasnt had one recently
save doing the job twice
Hope the first option works thou

Ok so the clutch fuid goes in the resevoir next to the brake resevoir? the cylindrical metal one?! How full should it be cos that looks empty to me! :p

So ive bled and ive bled and ive bled - im still seeming to shift air, afterwards im ahving to pump the clutchto build up pressure - is this normal?!?

if you have been pushing de pedal with no fluid in it for any length of time you may have buggered the seals. so get someone else to pump and see if any bubbles appear in the cylinder.
