hi all, new visitor to this site, i have a 02 freelander td4, clutch is slippin quite a bit, how would i know if everything needs replacing or just clutch kit or one of the other components, not very good mechanically and dont want to pay for things i dont need, can anyone help?

Generally (all car types) probably just the clutch kit. You can try looking up the price online, however I think the biggest cost will be labour. I've never fitted nor paid someone to replace a FL clutch kit! can't help with prices/time labour. Phone around.
