sitting at junction on a hill with clutch on bite waiting to pull out . clutch seemed seemed to stick in the bite position .had to pull on handbrake switch of engine and then it released its self . happened to me twice in the last 5 or 6 weeks . but apart from that no problems with the clutch and gear changing.any ideas what could be up would be appreciated.

how long were you holding it on the biting point for?

oh about a minute as per usual line of cars appeared from nowhere . going to put in garage to get checked over hopefully the problem will be master or slave cylinders and not the clutch fork . wallet is starting to sweat already though.

Sounds to me like you heated the bearing up and tried to weld it to the shaft.

NEVER hold a vehicle on the biting point for more than a few seconds.

I think I have much the same problem. When I put the car into fwd or reverse the clutch pedal stays engaged and the car moves off. I cant get it out of gear untill the engine stalls. This does not happen all the time, but is becoming more frequent.

Took it to a garage and they reccomend changing the clutch. V expensive. Is it a problem eith the clutch or something else like the clutch fork. I dont know much about any of this...

you must have a left leg like Arnie holding the clutch for all that time:D
