clutch is slipping

well it's started to slip this morning so I have just booked it in for doing next week should be about £300 all in and take him a day or so .
Does this sound like a good price (its a 200tdi disco)

Did mine myself and with the help of 300tdi stu. Hired and engine crane,bought 4 piece clutch kit. £90 all in. Plus its easier than you think to do.
 
I would say yes althou it would take longer. You would be going under the car and back out again. But its not a major thing. I was luck as one of the forum members from here gave me a hand. Once you have the props out ofthe way,centre console removed and handbrake unhooked. Its just a case surporting the weight of the box with hoist,then undoing the bell housing bolts,and unbolting the cross member that the gearbox sits on,and also removing the downpipe. We found thou putting the front end of the disco on ramps helped no end. Once all is out of the way,simply lower the gearbox to the ground,and remove the old clutch,fit the new one and rebuild. There is a split feeling on wether removing the gearbox is the best way,or removing the engine. For me it was the gearbox.
