Clutch, HELP!!!!!!

Hello, i have just purchased a TD5 diso with a clutch fault, the clutch only seems to bite at the very bottom, this is also making all gears hard to engage, i have bled the system and there was a slight improvement, i then swapped the slave cylinder and it is as bad as it was in the first place. Anyone have any ideas? could it be master cylinder?.... Thanks in advance.

what do you mean by "bite"?

i would swop the master cylinder before spliting the box this is a common sigh of the master cylinder failing and the td5 clutch can be a bit of a pig to get the air out but if it dont work then you will need to split it
