clutch fork broke last year so i replaced and fitted a new clutch plate etc..

its been fine until last few days.. now the biting point is getting higher to the point where it may start slipping soon..

i cant see the plate being worn out already?

cant be the master or slave as it would cause the opposite problem..

any suggestions on what to look at before i bite the bullet and take the gearbox out again, which i really, really dont want to do..

I recommend you to check the clutch fork.

This can be done with a mirror with only taking the slave cilynder out.

If the fork is partially buried in the polished ball, then the free play becomes longer... or t'other way round ...

Have you re-bled the M/C, when doing master cyl you'll need to check/set the pedal slack up using the 2x 13mm nuts on the threaded rod in the pedal box , and possibly set the height of pedal
easy job, but can be better done if you split the end of a 13mm ring spanner or two so you have more flexability to get onto the nuts ...

have u had wading plugs in box? possible covered in crap

yeah.. will remove n have a see what comes out.. cheers..

will have to get mr haynes out to find these methods of adjustment..

thanks for the replies..

i was thinkin along the lines of... clutch cover bolts not tight enough and were coming undone resulting in less pressure on plate.. dunno if thats feasable but will look at your solutions first...

thanks again..
