I have a freelander td2 o3 and it clunks when I change gears if I do it slolwly though it doesn't any ideas I'm new to 4x4ing
 
Hi worn bush/mount on rear diff, about £20 and half hour diy. usually the one at the front, get under it and push the prop shaft up and down you will see the play in the worn bush. hope this helps..
 
i can confirm this is usually the problem and would advise you change it as sson as possible.
mine failed competly while taking the kids sight seeing in london. we broke it out side buckingham palace. the vibrating prop damaged the exhaust and we had an armed gaurd including the helicopter watching use while i removed the whole shaft during changing of the guard
