clunk selecting foward or revers on auto box

not sure if this is anything to worry about but am getting a small clunk when selcting forward or reverse from nutural on my dicovery 1 300tdi auto is ther a possibility that the transfer box is worn i can turn the front prop a small amount either way when its parked up and handbrake applied

Only if the noise has just started then yes.
My D1's transfer box clunks when going to reverse always has done just like my previous RRC, well it would do it's the same box

mines always clunked, not a problem untill something falls off
