Hi folks,
Can anybody please suggest what may be causing this problem? I have a metallic clonking that sounds to be in the suspension under the dashboard which occurs when driving across bumpy roads (almost always!). Could it be shock absorbers - it's done 100k miles- or are there other possibilities?
Any suggestions welcome,
Many thanks.

I have just had a clunk sorted by tightening up the oil filled engine mount on the drivers side (Black rubbery thingy with a vertical bolt). That was making a noise when i was pulling away or coming off the gas?

i think you will find wear in the ball joints on the flexible links between the roll bar and suspension struts, i have regreased mine ( they are sealed) and now my knocking noise is far worse

I have had the anti roll bar bushes replaced and the problem has been cured. Your help has been greatly appreciated, timfreecom, many thanks. Thanks also for all the other suggestions - you are truly a great community.
