It was really getting me down, i'm glad i went to replace my UJ's otherwise I probably wouldn't have found it.

i took it back to the garage and they reckon it was coming from the front wheel.

I even said to them I don;t think something was done up tight enough.

I phoned the garage and told them what it was, they were extremely rude to me and said it was loose when they took it off!! lying F*CKERS!!!

I won't be going back there again.

I need to find me a decent LR garage for the bigger jobs.
That garage do not know what they are doing,or talking about.Google landy garages in your area and then read up on them, good luck.

the 1 nearest to me is swinfield cooper, they know their stuff but are very very expensive!

I went in there ages ago and asked them to replace my fuel pump, they wanted to do all sorts of diagnostics and extra things i didn;t want doing, i just wanted a new fuel pump putting on, but they were reluctant to do it.

I don't like the woman in their either!

Would you like her more if she had big t1ts?

she is that bad then?,ok well if you look on google like i suggested, you will probably find a decent garage,i did.

lol, she's a horrible little old lady ... she called me a pr1ck because i didn;t want them to do £45 per hour diagnostics on my car

I can't seem to find any, i'll look later ..... I know there is a place in hinckley with a guy called Neil, but I think they just do gearboxes

So the garage had removed the flange, and replaced it when they fixed the seal problem originally, But they refitted it and left the nut loose.
But, they told you the nut was already loose before they started the work.

Or did they not remove the flange but just noticed the nut was loose and left it like that? . Sounds like they are incompetent. Is this a specialist garage?

Good news you found the issue.

Cheers

yes, they took the flange off and replaced the oil seal in there. I asked them to do it. Me and my brother originally replaced the oil seal with a cheapo 1 off ebay and the oil leak seemed to get worse lol. I know for a fact that the flange bolt was done up tight, because we did it ... oh, and there was no clicking before my car went into the garage to have a new clutch fitted. So I asked them to replace with a genuine part because they had to take my front prop off to take the t/box out. as it was only a 5 minute job I asked them to do it.

So IF the nut was loose when they removed it,which i doubt, surely they should have known to tighten it up to spec.

Well, Agree with Ya, what a bunch of F***tards. Are they a LR specialist? a normal small garage? a larger corporation?

Cheers

you'd of thought so. The nut was not loose, i tightened it, then my bro (who is twice my size) gave it another good tighten ... also, I had no clicking sound before the car went into the garage.

just a small garage at the end of my road ... I wouldn't of minded so much, but when I phoned them to let them know what the clicking was, they manager was really rude and blamed me

I always think it is sad when a little local garage does something like this regarding the Managers response, do they not understand that they are going to lose customers because of their response. OK , I understand that the customer is not always right, but their is a correct way to resolve a problem like this and build good customer relations.

Cheers
