Cleaning up inside

Hi all,
Not posted for a while as been getting the mechanical bits & outer stuff done first.
Now that sorted I'm starting on the inside which is starting to look dated & grubby.
I'm looking for some tips or help to get the following unto scratch.

Steering wheel (beige grubby/dirt embedded)
Seats, bobbly on the material, dirty on the half leather) would prefer them to be black leather.
Door cards - Material is grubby where my arms rest on them.

I have the same colour interior as you but full leather. I don't know the best course of action for your seats, but I will be using a leather dye on the steering wheel. As for the door card, mine is a similarly dirty and I've tried one or two things, fabric/carpet cleaner, soap and water and a good vacuum. I've not really had satisfactory results so if you do come up with a successful method I'd be interested to know.

Me, I'd take to the professionals to be cleaned properly.

We've one of those Bissell carpet cleaner machines with the upholstery attachment. It's very good at cleaning my fabric seats and does a pretty good job on the door cards too. Maybe you could borrow one and give it a try or failing that go to a professional car groomer.

Have a look at auto gylm products if yer want to do the work yerself. Household cleaners can sometimes be too harsh for car plastic. Or as above see what a valeter would charge.

You will need to use a wet extraction cleaning method to get the best results. This would involve applying a cleaning solution, giving it a while to start to work then using water with a neutralizing chemical to extract the dirt and cleaning chemicals. Its ok using rented cleaning machines but you really need the right professional cleaning chemicals and experience. Look for a professional carpet and upholstery cleaner they shouldn't charge too much. They would also come to your house to do it. I'm going to be doing mine probably this weekend.
