Well my 90 has leaked oil from various places over the last few months and had the leaks repaired but the stains left are horrific! The driveway looks a mess and I'm also renting the house so if got to clean it and keep it clean. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to remove them?

I found a red 5 litre container in the garage that smelled acidic and when I poured some on the stains it bubbled and then came up mint but its label was missing so if no idea what it was!

If anyone knows what it could have been or knows any other stuff / ideas to try I'd be greatful of your help!

Cheers

Tom.

Biological washing powder rubbed on the stains, left for a while then washed off with full fat coke works for me!

Douse with water, then dump salt on it, then work it in with a brush, then shovel/sweep it off,

Gets rid of cooking oil that way, never going to get rid of all of it though, will work its way out

Go and buy spray can of either brake or carb cleaner spray give it a good spray you may have to have a couple of goes but its what I use and it works, don't wash it off straight away give it time to do its work then hose down

Iv been and a got a box of biological washing powder and poured the whole thing on the oil stains and added some water. I'll leave that overnight and wash it off in the morning and see what that looks like. I also got 4 litres of coke to try after that. Failing they I'll try the brake cleaner route.

It could have been brick cleaner thats pretty acidic

i used tesco's cheapest washing powder damped the concrete drive then scrubbed the washing powder in then jet washed it off with my karcher patio head now it's a cream clean drive with an old concrete coloured patch that masks itself in when the cleanest parts darken :D

I just jetwash it off then let time remove any marks, most stuff goes in a few months, but the dintrol is tough still a nice stain after 6 months

Mine just leaks all over the road outside the house, I've cleaned it a couple of times but fighting a loosing battle lol :D

Mandy, whatever you do don't use any cleaners on the road!

I did on mine and half the tarmac got washed away!! ;);)

Apparently the tarmac is softened by the oil!

Best thing to do is sprinkle a tiny little bit of sand on top and it not only soaks up it becomes part of the road :D
