Not landy related really but I will use it to clean the 110 if I ever get this karcher steam cleaner working:rolleyes:.
The brass pump head has no very small orifices but does have green build up in a few places internally. What could I submerge it in that would clean it without dissolving the expensive brass pump head.?

Vinegar is supposed to be quite good, you want the strongest pickling vinegar you can find, and preferably not spiced.

Best of luck. I bought a brand new Karcher steam cleaner once, it was about £2000. It only worked properly for about a year, kept on having problems, and I ended up trading it in for a cold water petrol powered pressure washer, which always worked fine.
I wouldn't buy anything Karcher again.

Luckily I got this for free. Heating coil totally blocked so a new copy one £220 , still wouldn't make pressure, seals leaking at plungers , on the motor, to pump head, replaced those £42, still wouldn't make pressure , new O rings for pump head internals £26, still wouldn't make pressure:mad::mad:.
New valves, 8 of them are £150, can't see anything wrong with any of them except possibly 1 maybe 2 at a push so I've ordered them 2 and fingers crossed:rolleyes:. Motors good though which if duff, scraps the machine. Parts are so expensive for the bloody things!

The motor and pump were about the only things on mine that didn't pack up.
Worst was the diesel powered water heater, and the various control systems.
As they are quite unreliable, the pressure washer shop was happy to give me a good trade in, they get a lot of demand for second hand parts.
The pumps often give trouble because people don't use the special Karcher water conditioner, which is about 15 quid a litre.
I thought that was a bit silly too, if they can't build a machine that works on normal tap water, they shouldn't be selling them at all.

It's supposed to stop calcium build up in the heater coil. IF I ever get it going I was going to flush the coil through every year with that kettle de scaler.
