Classic Tdi sound proofing

Had my 200Tdi conversion from 3.9V8 completed this week. Performance wise I'm very happy with it, find it nice to drive too.
Would be nice to reduce the diesel clatter a bit, any suggestions? Oh, and re-fitting the V8 is not an option!

Search your local constructions suplier for roof insulation material with self adhesive ,cheaper than comercial stuff but same result ,i ll try to post links for some aterilas with less than 15 euros per square meter

A cheap method I heard of is exercise mats or camping mats and spray adhesive.

I used some carpet underlay I was given lol

The mixed fiber stuff, one layer in my series 3 and I could hear my mrs talking to me.. Hmm almost took it back out lol..

Put some black cord carpet over the top and glued it all down was great...
