are they testable on the mot or can i get away with rusty holes in them as they're not really load bearing cos the suspension is mounted to the chassis?
Are they easy to change? (bolt on)
Where's the best place to get them from?
Thanks again people!

sort of - wot i mean is the inner wings aint part of the MOT, EXCEPT that a hole thro them colser than 8"? to the brake servo IS a fail - and that includes the rear part of the iner wings.

YRM do replacements and i think there is a "how to" in General Q's section.

there are holes almost all the way around the outer edges of the arches and you can see most o the washer bottle through the wheel arch so it looks like i'm gonna be buying and fitting some ones
Cheers mad hat man
ones.

Good question..
Soory to but in on your thread.

I have another one on the same subject..

My Classic has rusted on the flat surface where the coil mounts.

The holes have enlarged enough to prevent the coil from being bolted down, I have fabricated a plate for top and bottom of inner wing for now to refit the coil and earths. The coil bolts hold the plates in place

Will this be acceptable for the MOT as all other parts of the inner wing are ok.

Thank's Fred

For the mot, is no corrosion 30cm from mounting point

Thats the one, i thought there was another but that'll do.
Looks like i've gotta get me a good welder, anyone know the best sort for this job on a budget?
i'll also need some metal and a working fire extinguisher by the looks of it.
